The purpose of the class is teach and train Community Innovations, Inc staff in the importance of protecting indivuduals from infection and deceases like Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV (AIDS).

This is a competency-based curriculum designed for people who provide services to people with disabilities and for people otherwise interacting with consumers of mental health, developemental disabilities and substance abuse services.

Community Innovations is pleased to announce our implementation of a new Internet based staff training and development program.We have contracted with Essential Learning to develop a customized training center for Community Innovations that presents and tracks staff training requirements in an accessible and easy to use format.Your individualized training plan will let you know exactly what online and classroom courses you need to take to help us meet our staff development goals.In addition, the system also helps us keep track of other employee requirements such as CPR, professional license and TB screening. When you log-on to your Learner Profile in the Community Innovations Training Center, you will be able to take both required and elective courses using the convenience of the Internet—at your own pace, and from any location.You will know what training is required, when it is due and once it is completed, you will have a permanent record of your work in the form of a transcript. You will also be able to register for our live classroom training events directly from your Learner Profile.Many of the courses offered have continuing education accreditation.The list of courses and accreditation information can be found on the top of your Learner Profile, in the Essential Learning Course Library. In order to log into the system, you will need to enter the following information into these four fields: User Name: your first and last name with a space in between them Password: this is your initials then last four digits of your SSN without any spaces. In addition, Essential Learning also provides three brief training videos about the system that may be accessed at the following web-address:http://ci.training.essentiallearning.com.It is recommended that you view these videos before logging into the site for the first time.We are launching the site to staff with a Welcome to Online Learning course assigned as required on your Learner Profile.Please take this course and practice using the Training Center so that you feel confident and comfortable using it for when requirements are assigned to you.
